Cementerio de San José

jesusThere won’t be any more scorching hot days this year in Granada. But if there were, I might walk up the Alhambra hill, past the parking lot, past some mountain bike trails and a rocky field with olive trees, to San José Cemetery. Listen to these birds singing from the tops of shade-giving cedar trees, and imagine walking toward the sound of water trickling into an alberca, or shallow pool, just like in a traditional Al-Andalus garden.
